Who We Are
Matthew Gove is an award-winning designer and gardener with over 20 years of field and design experience. He has worked as a head gardener on many rural estates and designed residential and commercial gardens of various sizes. He combines his love for the contemporary design movement of naturalistic gardens with appreciation for the natural spaces of the Niagara Escarpment.
It was a passion for design and artful gardens that inspired Matt to establish his own practice in 2010. Matthew Gove & Co. is a design and garden care company where naturalistic, purposeful plantings are at the heart of it all.

Over the last 15 years we’ve had the opportunity to design and build large-scale plantings on rural estates, commercial gardens and intimate urban spaces. The gardens we create are unique, personal, captivating and natural, cared for by our nurturing crew of horticultural technicians.
Matthew is an active and past board member with Landscape Ontario since 2017. He’s participated in their Grow - Employer’s of Choice Program, and is a registered Employer Sponsor in the Horticultural Technician Apprenticeship program. He is a member of the CNLA and has recently joined The Perennial Plant Association.
